Anna Artemyeva was born in Moscow Studied in the school of Arts, later on studied painting, graphics, design and history of art at college. She has been practicing Buddhism since 1993 and learned thangka painting from the Dutch thangka artist Marianne Van Der Horst. In 2000 the honorable Buddhist teacher Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche blessed Anna to paint thangkas and since that time she has devoted herself to this work, doing it constantly. She is a student of Dr Nida Chenagtsang since 2002, and since 2006 she practices the Yuthok Nyingthig cycle of teachings and works constantly, creating images for the glorious tradition of Yuthok Nyingthig.
